Once the applicant becomes a member, introduce the new member to the Club and encourage their participation, for example by taking them on a tour of the island, inviting them to participate in sailing or social events, assisting them in finding opportunities to volunteer, and introducing them to other members, board members, volunteer coordinators and staff.

If you do not think you can commit to the responsibilities of being a sponsor, we recommend that you decline. You also may wish to help the applicant find an alternate sponsor.
